How much power is too much power?

Came across this article regarding Amazon powering down someone's smart home devices they believed the owner had made racist remarks.

https://dailycaller.com/2023/06/14/amazon-confirms-shut-down-smart-home-false-racism-claims/https://dailycaller.com/2023/06/14/amazon-confirms-shut-down-smart-home-false-racism-claims/

Is this too much power?

"None at all is too much."

Or more properly, it's not about the power but who wants it.

"No one who wants power should ever have any..."

Practically someone has to have it, but you really want to be selective - and for companies etc Governments and regulators should work to check and understand what they are doing regards terms of service etc - breaches should be very expensive.

No if you call me a "haploid giraffe wrangler" with malicious intent I want to make sure all your devices are turned off forever - but when I use "napalmed Hippo hunter" on tour good self, why I should be let off and given three kinghoods and an educated ferret!

That last paragraph was the most American-sounding "Lorem Ipsum" I've ever read, @Early_Adopter !

As the Infovores come scarfing down the value-chain, we poor mortals must not only do our best to burrow further into assigned nichetes but also must. manful, womanl... Personally strive to be indistinguishable from that which consumes us... 😜
