I live in the Netherlands and work for local government as a senior system administrator. My responsibilities are mainly in the field of security. Prior to my job for local government I was a security systems engineer. I am looking to advance my career into the field of cyber security and obtaining my CISSP status was a mayor step.
I am looking forward to participating in this community.

I'm Ted. I'm currently studying for my CISSP exam, which I sit on November 18th. My background is 23 years in the British Royal Navy, of which I spent 17 years as a Communications Technician. Since leaving the Navy in 2000 I've held senior management positions, but 8 years ago moved to the UAE to help train their Navy in Electronic Warfare and Communications Intelligence.
Now looking forward to expanding my knowledge and experience with the CBK and CISSP.
Hi, Bert - welcome!

My name is Casey Criswell, I am a Security Engineer for a financial company in central Indiana. I sat and passed my CISSP exam on 10/3 and I'm currently in the waiting period for my endorsement to finish up!
I've been in IT for 21 years now, moved to Security about 2 years ago and love it. Can't wait to learn more! I have the CCSP on deck and considering a CISSP Focus in the near future. Just haven't decided on Engineering or Architecture as of yet.
Hi names Ammett,
Very pleased to meet you all. Now lets see; certifications; I have a few of those (ITIL foundations, MCITP, CGEIT, CCDP, Juniper Junos, CEH, CISSP) and I am also CCIE R&S certified.
I have approximately 11+ year IT experience, I am at the point where I want to diversify my portfolio and transition out of IT networking into more coding, cloud and security.
I am here to see all the good stuff the community has to offer an hopefully gain some knowledge that I can share sometime.
I have been in the IT-Security profession for less than a year, and it has been great so far. My current credential profile consists only of a CompTIA security certification. I intend to pass my first ISC2 exam during the first half of next year, and become an Associate of ISC2. I live in northern Louisiana so there is no Chapter near me, but I would like to become more involved over time and connect with mentors in my field.
