Hello everyone,
New to the community? Have a question? Or just want to tell us a little about yourself? Feel free to do so in this thread.
Hi Everyone!
Been following along the CISSP roadmap for the past 6 years and recently passed the exam. Excited to participate in the community and continue to grow myself in the healthcare cybersecurity industry.
Welcome to the Community @danyo & @MDWtheTall.

Instead of adding a mini-bio as a reply here, I recommend placing such a summary in your Community Profile. You can see mine there.
Further, those who have already introduced yourselves here, you can copy that content and paste it into your profiles.
In reality, no one is going to review this thread to learn about members. Further, only a very few are going to track new posts here. However, any of us curious about a given member can click on the linked name in a post to jump to the profile.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Sibu and I am currently studying PG diploma in IT. I love information security and would love to make a carrier from it. I have been working for almost 15 years and took this decision to study again. What do you guys suggest would be best for me here. How can I pursue my passion. Thanks for your reply in advance.

Hello Sibu ( @Sibu_joy ),
Welcome to the Community! I would recommend searching the Community for "passed [insert exam name here] exam" to help get some guidance on some of the (ISC)2 certifications and what other members/candidates have used for studying. If you are looking for specific advice, I would also recommend that you reach out in the other various areas of the Community, like Career (for advice and to see job postings), Tech Talk (more for technical questions), or Industry News (to keep up to date on things that the Community has posted as new and noteworthy).
I'm Martin, as my username would suggest, mid 30's, highly intelligent, I'd like to think, arrogant, sometimes, a bit of an underachiever or a massive one, depending on who you ask. Worked in IT from the beginning, with no particular specialization - I've been a developer, a system administrator, a database administrator, a network administrator, a general IT manager, and sometimes a few of these at a time.
I'd like to specialize in IT security, since, for some reason, everything I do ultimately involves it in some way or another. And because it's well paid. And a challenge. And cool. I stumbled upon this forum (or community, if you're so inclined to call it) while trying to find out if my work experience satisfies the 5 year requirement to get CISSP certified - and, for what it's worth, I still can't tell.
English is not my native language, but native speakers couldn't tell just from my writing (I told you I was arrogant), though I still have some inevitable Eastern Europe accent left (I can eliminate it, but with considerable focus, and a small penalty in speed).
Autistic rant aside, though, from what I've read so far, there are some very knowledgeable posters around here, and I'm actually looking forward to learning a few things from them.
