Has any one conducted a Hardware Security Module migration recently?

Hi All

Given that traditional HSM's can last 5 years or more under support, so rarely does this happen within the Financial Institutions, but given the various options available including Cloud based HSMs, the requirements are rapidly changing due to digital banking, online banking so the traditional approach is also changing too.

Does anyone have advice, recommendations for Payment Gateways, certification, compliance, tips and hints, and suggestions?  Things that have worked from experience, or have failed?  I would be keen to hear from your experiences, to ensure a smooth transition from existing "bricks" to an architectural which supports digital banking including Private Data Centres and Cloud migrations?

Apart from cryptography support, transactions per second, high availability manually or automatic, and partition redundancy or even the possibility of using containers for greater scalability or elastic expansion and retraction?

Any one have recent experience and undertaken an HSM Migration recently to accommodate a modern bank?

Regards
