So the first thing I’d say is don’t rely on the CC, not that it’s a bad thing to have it’s just not known, old or respected enough to be the thing that you lead with. Do try to get the Google cert cost is minimal, and it can get you a discount on security+, both have hands on/simulation that is valuable for beginners. Security+ is going to have a lot of jobs attached and at this point is more likely to get you an in.
What’s the market like where you are? Are you willing to travel? Where can you legally work? What specific roles are you considering? Would you consider IT as it is without doubt a more accessible pathway(ignore the marketing, experience is king). What was your GRC compliance like? You can answer here or keep to yourself, but formalising this in writing is going to help you. Do some job searches for what you like in linked in and set to daily. Observe closely the duties, requirements of the roles you like. Be ready to cast a wide net and narrow when you have some success, but also look at how many applied and if you see one with low applicants that you like customise your CV and write a covering letter.
Are there clubs, chapters, meetups or conferences near you? You should consider going to these.
