OK, back in June they mentioned that there would be badges (plural?) for writing about/promoting the Security Congress conference. They didn't specify the badge. So, when the security ambassador badge showed up on my list, I figured it was for that.
I assume that, at some point, someone noticed the potential for confusion between the program that Kaity mentioned, and the name of the badge. So, I assume some (all?) of the badges got pulled.
It's possibly simply a case of the right hand no knowing what the left is doing. On the other hand ...

Wait, it might be even worse than that? What if my kudoes are disappearing?
Turnabout is fair play. After all, you did cause their revenue stream to disappear by retiring. :-).
I had the badge (oh for only a fleeting moment) but it did show on my screen...must have been a mistake on someone's part and they corrected it.......

Yup, me too. (Hmmm, better not hashtag that). Anyway, as of 11/7/19 after 6:00 p.m. CST USA, the badge is gone from my badge list.

Hi all - I can confirm that only the Congress Ambassadors were issued the badge in question in this thread.
What you saw on your profile was the badge showing as a potential to be earned - that was an error on our end. It's been fixed so that you will only see it if you've earned it. As your screenshot showed @Shannon - it was earned by 5 (the 5 Ambassadors). I hope this clears up any confusion.
