@Melleive I believe you may be referring to the assistance application (where (ISC)² acts as your endorser) taking as long as the regular endorsement. If that is the case, yes, the assistance application will take the same amount of time as an endorsement that has an endorser. Switching the account to an Associate of (ISC)² only takes a second (pressing a button). What the representative informed you is correct.

Amanda,
We (the endorsement rep and I) discussed the assistance application, but
that is not what I was asking. I have completed the following steps:

1. passed my SSCP exam and
2. submitted my endorsement application, and
3. requested that (ISC)² act as my endorser.

The reason I was asking about Associate status was due to the extended wait
time for the process of endorsement. I have the necessary experience based
on my B.S. in Cybersecurity, which is why I didn't initially apply for
Associate status. What I needed to know is what I can legally claim on my
resume and to employers *while I await endorsement*.
So, just to be very clear, I can legally claim the following:
"I have provisionally passed the (ISC)2 Systems Security Certified
Practitioner exam and am awaiting endorsement for full certification."

I'm sure I sound like a crazy, broken record. I'm really not trying to be
difficult. Just chalk it up to 25 years of military spousedom.

Thank you so much for your patience!

Melleive,

Not a problem at all, I understand. I apologize for the confusion as I had originally thought you said the Associate status creation can take up to 8 weeks. To confirm, that is the correct verbiage to use until you pass the endorsement process.

Best Regards,

Amanda

Amanda,

Can I use the same verbage as above except insert CISSP. I have been waiting for 5 weeks for endorsement and I have a job I wanted to apply for, but I wanted to add something for the certification to my resume. The open period for submitting resumes closes on 27 Aug.
