Unable to login to community web site for a while

Seriously,

This has gotten to the point of utter aggravation.

How hard is it to make a SSO login directly from the ISC2 site, or allow logins directly into the community web site ?

I am having constant issues with this, and some days can't log in at all to the community, and I am starting to think that it's simply not worth the bother.

I can NEVER log in directly to the community web site.

I can only SOMETIMES log in after I have managed to log in to the ISC2 main web site.

Enough already.

Sincerely,

Mike Glassman, CISSP

Yes I also face the same issue.

Honestly, I'm surprised that nothing's been done about this yet, given that it's been more than a month since this was initially reported.

Nowadays, when I'm prompted to login when using my smartphone rather than my laptop, I'm more inclined to pass. When using my laptop, I've been directly logging in from the main site and not been bothering to check if SSO is even functioning properly... Man Frustrated

@david-shearer, surely encouraging member participation on the Community is an objective --- so why hasn't fixing this been prioritized? When might we see it resolved?

I fairly strongly suspect that, of the 23 thousand supposed members on the site,
there are several thousand who have signed up, and then been unable to log back
on, not knowing the secret. (And not knowing that you can read almost
everything on the "community" without logging in, or even having an account.)

Maybe they might want to look at the CISSPforum?

Here's a thought.

How about ISC2 send out an email to everyone (23 thousand is not all that many emails at all), in which they explain "how to".

They could add something like...

"On attempting to access the Community web site, do not be surprised if... you can't, so in order not to fall into that feature [hole], we suggest you log in first to the primary web site, then click on the community link, then click on log in, and hope for the best"

Well ... yeah ... they could do that.

But, I mean, wouldn't that actually be ... *useful*?
