AMF payment issue - SSO Error

Dear all,

I am trying to pay the first AMF, since my application has just been reviewed, but, when I click on the payment link on my dashboard in ISC2 portal, I get the following error message, that prevents me to complete the operation:

"Single Sign-On Error

We can't log you in. Check for an invalid assertion in the SAML Assertion Validator (available in Single Sign-On Settings) or check the login history for failed logins."

Could you help me please?

Thank you very much,

Hi welcome aboard! Was in exactly the same boat earlier this week. However my issue seemed to resolve itself by the day after. I’d probably try again tomorrow then if still same email the support team at membersupport@isc2.org

Same issue for me. I sent an email last Monday towards membersupport, so far no reply. I wanted to update my LinkedIn profile with my CISSP certification. Now I have to wait until the SSO issue is resolved. ☹️

Most of us use the Digital Badge from Acclaim to update our LinkedIn Profile.  That should be separate from the user portal.

The thing is that I have to pay my first annual membership fee. Last week I received the confirmation that the endorsement application was approved. Because I’m not able to pay for the AMF, I’m not a member yet and can’t use a Digital Badge. ☹️

Not to add to your woes but.. as I said above, I had the issue not able to pay the AMF, resolved that and paid... however now have issue in that I STILL don’t show as a member! So will probably happen to you too?

I had similar payment issues.  I just got through and talked to member services on the telephone and to their credit, they informed me that I am OK regardless of what the (ISC)2 member Portal shows right now.  The fact is that the recent updates to the system means things will not get straightened out in some cases like mine until next week.  That is OK with me now that they have confirmed I am actually good to go.

The roll out should have gone much smoother but at least they have real people that you can talk to at (ISC)2 Member Services to get things straightened out.  You just have to be patient.

Yup, there it is. First time, and SSO.

You have run smack into a (recently) known issue. Allow me to present some
background.

ISC2 has recently been replacing a bunch of online systems that (mostly) worked,
with a number that work, well, sporadically, or in interesting ways. ("Interesting"
as in the ancient curse, "May you live in interesting times.")

The most recent of these has been the payment system, which is also now tied
into most of the other systems, finding news ways to prevent them from working.
It is also self-referential, which leads to what you have encountered.

You see, even though you have passed the exam recently (I assume from your
"first AMF" comment), you aren't yet a member of ISC2 until you pay your
AMFs (which are now due in advance). The payment system knows you are not a
member, so it will not let you use any of the systems. Including the payment
system.

All very amusing, sin't it?

(Well, OK, *we* are tiredly amused: I can see that *you* might be somewhat
frustrated.)

You can possibly get some action by emailing any or all (I would suggest all) of
avance@isc2.org, community@isc2.org, soconnor@isc2.org, jshriver@isc2.org, or
keagle@isc2.org and see if they can find the right person to help you. (I believe
that, in theory, you can also send email to members@isc2.org, but I think they
might be a tad busy just now ...)

Small update from my side: I saw in another thread that a direct email to Amanda Vance would help to speed things up. So I did...
And... voilla! Solved in no time! I got a prompt reply that she created a ticket for my account and that she would keep me up-to-date on any progress. About an hour later she emailed me that my account was updated.
Finally I’m able to use the creditcard payment option!
