We all like to complain about our ISPs. Well, I've been having some issues with Shaw Communications's spam filtering. They've been bouncing email messages from various sources. Not really telling me they are spam: I don't get the messages that they bounce (unlike the normal run of spam that they constantly let through) the bounces get bounced, and I never know about them. (Until someone who has been bounced finds some way other than Shaw Communications to let me know.) One of the addresses that gets bounced is risko@csl.sri.com. For those of you who know anything at all about security that email address will be instantly recognized as the sending address of the highly respected and venerable RISKS-Forum Digest (http://catless.ncl.ac.uk/Risks/). I have now been informed by Shawhelp (ridiculously inappropriate name) that whatever shoddy spam blacklisting service Shaw Communications uses has listed http://csl.sri.com as blacklisted. This is hilariously mistaken, since that is the domain of SRO International's Computer Science Laboratory. Full marks for idiocy, Shaw Communications.
