Wait, what?
OK, the UK's largest forensics provider has been hit with a ransomware attack. Police have stopped using that firm. However, it's highly unlikely that other companies will be able to take up the slack, and cases may be delayed.
In the meantime, police are asking for assurance from the company that forensic data was not accessed by the attackers, demonstrating that, at least at the top levels of the heirarchy, the police don't know the difference between a breach and ransomware ...
