Houston has banned a proposed "robot brothel" by changing a city ordinance to ban any “anthropomorphic device” used for sexual purposes.
(I've got to admit that I may not be the best person to analyse this situation since I really don't understand the furor here: none of the dolls or devices hold the slightest appeal for me ...)
OK, I managed to get by the pr0n filter, but then the Powers-That-Be went and edited my original post and removed stuff. So, if it seems pointless and makes no sense now--well, I agree with you.
Since there is no point in trying to add stuff that the Powers-That-Be have already taken away, well, just chalk it up to proof that, yes, Virginia, there is censorship on the "community" ...
At least on the CISSPforum we can discuss pretty much anything ...
Speaking of censorship and unintended consequences ...
The creation of an Internet "Bills of Rights" has been proposed.
While it sounds good, I suspect this is a spectacularly bad idea ...
Rob,
you our can throw rocks at my head if you would like but i do not think the removal of your line changes the real intent of the topic. I also do not think this is censorship.
i realize these are only words however one word can be offensive to one person and not another. While the words you use are not neccarilarly pornographic their use can and will offend some people and I believe the admins are trying to ensure the Commaunity is a safe and secure place for folks and mainly that they do not feel offended and lose interest.
respectfully
Diana
