Like many, I encountered a gap between the training material and the exam. Having some experience in the field really helped. I think a complete newbie would have trouble passing this exam because there were many scenarios where you had to apply a concept to a real-world example. There was more emphasis on physical security than I anticipated. The networking category required the most detailed knowledge.
How'd I prepare? I took the free ISC2 online course and also read Mike Chapple's CC book.
Hi, thanks for the information. I take my CC exam next week and was wondering just how different the real test is compared to the training class we took on here?
Any tips?
thanks
Yeah, i agree with you, you are very correct real life scenario were applied on the exams, i did mine some couple of days ago but didn't make it, but i have put in for it again, this time i want touch base with every details on the training and any material related to CC, so please if u have any material you can help me with will actually go a long way, thank you.
I would agree you require to've some experience to answer the questions.
To all candidates preparing for the upcoming CC exams, here are a few key points to keep in mind:
Stay calm and be well-prepared, especially with vocabulary, as many exam questions use synonyms or alternative phrasing to test your understanding. Ensure that you’re confident in each answer before proceeding to the next question, as the exam format doesn’t allow you to revisit previous questions.
Best of luck on your exam—wishing you success!
