Jim Scardelis is a Senior Associate with Schellman. Jim joined Schellman in 2021, where he focuses on complex Payment Card Industry (PCI) related assessments across multiple industries. Jim has been working in the software development space for over 25 years, and in the payment card security space for over 10 years, with a vast range of technical expertise, experience and certifications that includes software development, release management and security / compliance management for one of the most visited websites in the world. These experiences enable Jim to bring a comprehensive, end to end view to clients' assessments. Throughout his career, Jim has worked on hundreds of "compliance audits," for clients and teams of varying sizes and complexity, from helping small e-commerce merchant and service provider with their annual PCI assessments, to more advanced Secure Software and P2PE Solution, Component and Application validations for clients all over the world. He is an active contributor to numerous online communities, where he provides mentorship and guidance to many. Jim holds a BS in Business - IT Management as well as an Master of Science degree in CyberSecurity & Information Assurance from Western Governors University, in addition to maintaining multiple cybersecurity and auditing industry certifications.
