Hi, there! I am just getting this journey started after my manager suggested this would be a great place to begin. I am excited to have joined the community and am looking forward learning and growing in the cybersecurity space. If there is a Discord group out there, I would love to join!

I am not sure about Discord groups.

If you are lucky enough to have a local chapter (ISC2, ISACA, ISSA, etc,) join them for their in person meetings.  If you cannot find a local chapter, some have virtual meetings.  

Also, try to find someone who can mentor you as you build your career

@Atuccker I am not aware of any ISC2 Discord, however there are many Discords tied to individual chapters of ISSA, ISC2, etc, as well as many BSides conference, Defcon groups and the like.  Am on about a dozen or so Discords for such groups now.  Black Hills Information Security has a good one.
