Hi All

Some very important lessons to be learnt from this full dialogue on negotiating with Cybercriminals.

Then add the following:

How can we educate people not to pay up and survive?

I think the answer is similar to all Security Awareness issues.....it is re-enforcement over and over (ad nauseum)...and then some won't learn.

The issue is that a lot of folks have now bought insurance and the hackers are now double dipping.......

Awareness is an age old problem.  We saw it with virii and folks just clicking on things because they were curious.....now the hackers are becoming more sophisticated and sometimes the malware does not even need user intervention......

Folks, dont make / take good backups (which I believe would save some).

Great articles, thanks for sharing.

I didn't want to click the link at first.  Was it BBC?  Or ampproject.org?  When I did eventually click the link (😲), the website is stylized to look like the BBC's!  That was interesting.
