Human Errors - substantiated and proven

Hi All

This is a great piece of research from OAIC Australia, proving the extent and impact of human errors causing major cyber security issues?

https://www.csoonline.com/article/3633188/human-errors-compromising-australian-government-data-more-...

Any more research to support or other references?

Regards

Unfortunately this doesn't surprise me.  Emailing the wrong recipient, replying to all, sending personal data to organisations with whom you have no contract/sharing agreement etc. are all too common.

The unfortunate part of this is that you can change "Australia" to almost any country.

When I started in Security (oh too many years ago), I saw a presentation by William H. Murray and he said that 85% of all security issues were related to humans (typically insiders).....of course being a newbie to the field, I thought he was stretching the truth.....He wasn't and this is still the case.

Thanks for the article.
