Some have stated: According to US intelligence agencies China's satellites are useless and rely heavily on 'spy balloons' that are capable of hovering over specific strategic locations to harvest tik tok videos and then beam them back to Beijing to be used against American citizens, but of course many other nations as well. No wonder they shoot down Chinese Weather balloons, when detected.
A fascinating insight into the use of Weather Satellites by the Chinese for dual purposes:
