Well, today's news that 540 million Facebook records have been found on AWS servers, just drives another nail into the whole concept of trust, privacy and knowing what information you revealed innocently perhaps years ago. https://thehackernews.com/2019/04/facebook-app-database.html

This issue just makes organisations become Snails, crawling back into their shells, and hoping it goes away - however it simply will not go away. There are some deep philosophical discussions to be had, i.e. humans being like to gossip, share and I think too trusting without doing what Ronald Reagan stated many years ago : apply the "Trust but Verify" principle.
Despite, this the information is now available, obfuscated, how will the owners complain and will their voices be heard and acted upon?
