Canadian Shield, eh?

What is a tiny little office on Bank St in Ottawa, CA doing with Canadians DNS queries? CIRAs "Canadian Shield" is keeping "ransomware, and other malware out of your home". According to its privacy policy it may share your data with its "threat intelligence partners". Is the service funded by the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) to monitor Canadians?  That's a good question for your member of Parliament to ask.

@AppDefectsSomeone needs to have a word in their ear to make see some sense.  I would be far happier, for them to use a sysystem such as Quad 9 9.9.9.9 to reduce the likelihood phishing, malicious malware etc.  Plus the fact it is totally free, so what was the logic around doing this - seems to be another form of craziness.
