Can you help me with topics I'm interested in?

Hi. I am a Ph.D. student and I want to study cyber security education policy and curriculum for future society.

However, it is not easy to access the data, so I would like to ask CISSP members for help.
If you have any good information, please let me know.

Thank you for reading so far.

Please tell us what school, what department or program, and, most importantly, specifically what you mean by "the data." With those detail many of us will be able to determine whether or how we might help you.

Have you mined the professional literature and ProQuest for the topics you mentioned? I know there have been a number of relevant theses and dissertations, both for PhD and for EdD degrees, on those topics.

Hello,

I'm a student from Cape Peninsula University of Technology doing a research project on cybersecurity. I need to analyze the resources appropriate for teaching cybersecurity in elementary schools. I need to interview CISSP experts and professionals too.

The list of questions for an interview:

  • Should we add cybersecurity to the elementary school curricula? Why (not)?
  • What are the pitfalls for teachers?
  • Should teachers use social media as teaching tools in the classroom? Why (not)?

Yes. Definitely. These kids are going to be profoundly impacted by technology,
and they need to know about it, and the attendant dangers.

> What are the pitfalls for teachers?

Not knowing about security. Or the technology.

It depends upon how comfortable the teacher is with the technology, but I
wouldn't recommend it for all. Using social media can become a distraction and
trap. Concentrate on the topic and material. If you find a good and valuable way
to use the technology that does not distract the students, fine. If not, don't chase
after it.

For both Jung  @byul and Justin @McFarland

Be sure to look at the annual conferences and journal from the Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE).

https://cisse.info/

That organization is specifically focused on your area of interest on cybersec education at all levels, K-12, undergraduate, and post graduate.
