SSCP textbooks

I am curious to know what textbooks/study guides everyone is doing? I purchased the self-paced training and it comes with the Official ISC2 Textbook Ed. 5, but is only 93 pages! The website doesn't even list any books for Ed. 5, and if you look up these books on Amazon or Wiley the book is almost 800 pages! Trying to see if what the self-paced training provides is really adequate training to be prepared for this exam.

Thanks all!

JD

Hi JD.

There are generally two books used to study for the SSCP.

The study guide by Mike Wills, which is the one I have along with the
accompanying practice questions book, or the all in one guide by Darril
Gibson.

The Mike Wills book I find to be a bit long winded and have found it hard
to hold my interest. (That’s my excuse for stopping studying :)).

I only found out about the other guide after purchasing the one I have and
looking for alternatives.

I generally see great reviews about it.

I should say I’m not sure how recently it has been updated, but reviews for
those who have used it and are happy with it are relatively recent so it
must still be valid.

I hope this is useful for you.
