Another confusing question in SSCP Official ISC2 Textbook Ed. 5

Hello!

@CBMExamTeam could you please review the question?

Just keep in mind that the people who write the exam questions have nothing to do with the exam prep writers - even the "official" guides etc.

Agreed that the prep question and its explanation seem to be gibberish. In this industry, 90 percent of the job is ignoring gibberish or at least not getting hung up on it.

@Begai Thank you for reaching out via ISC2 Community.

Although these are the Official Study Guides, we have no control over how the authors format their sample questions (items). Keep in mind too, the authors are NOT exam writers.

Our test items perform optimally when focusing on best practices within the industry. With that said, we do not recommend our subject matter expert volunteer item writers to use terms like NOT or LEAST within our items. While it is possible that items could contain that verbiage, we avoid such terminology as it does not seem to test well.

The sample test questions that appear in those books are written by authors and publishers who were endorsed by ISC2, not necessarily item writers. All of our items written are developed, peer reviewed and tested by our community of volunteers.

If you feel there are errata in the publication(s) please reach out to the publisher (Wiley & Son) directly.

In order to submit your possible errata, please email to our Customer Service Team at wileysupport@wiley.com with the subject line: "Possible Book Errata Submission."

Hope this helps!

In data science: garbage in, garbage out.

90% it is too high to pay for the books and materials.

Hello CBMExamTeam/ISC2 Team,

I believe it is not professional "..please reach out to the publisher (Wiley & Son) directly".

That's very sad.

@Begai Practice questions are only to make you think. No questions will ever be just like the exam questions. I have been in several exam question development workshops. I can tell you without violating any NDAs that I can look at that question and tell you is not an actual exam question based on our guidelines. The fact that you are thinking and questioning them is good. That will serve you well in the exam. Best wishes.
