Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been fined a record 225 million euros (or $267 million) by the Irish data privacy regulator for privacy breaches.
Shows how difficult inform and consent can be to implement. As a legal basis for processing, consent can be one of the more difficult to implement given privacy policies are typically written by legal teams but read and interpreted by consumers, if they bother to read them at all!
