Recently, a case involving two parents and their parenting styles was heard in Ontario. As one of the outcomes of this landmark case, Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice has added a new tort to Ontario law by focusing on ‘publicly placing a person in false light' which is different than defamation of character.
The case is quite interesting (if you have time to read) but looks like privacy is moving to the forefront more and more each day.
