Google in hot seat - illegal tracking of people

Looks like Google is in the hot seat at last:  5 Billion dollar lawsuit

It's not like they haven't being doing this since inception. They just got caught. If they lose, they'll pay the fine and move on. They have billions in cash reserve.

@AppDefects    Yes, in a sense it is a Ghost in the Machine - however their influence is profound as well as invasive too.  Do we just roll over and just let keep going?

 

This is rather like the influence Microsoft has on Governments around the world - you will adhere to Microsoft 365 rules including removal of the double space after a full stop etc.   And we just let them do it?

 

Or the fact they Microsoft have such deep discounts, they cannot afford not to take the discounts.
