This group hub has been designated for (ISC)² North West England Chapter members to be able to connect, communicate and collaborate with one another. Feel free to post ideas, share insights, and exchange any resources that will be beneficial to the chapter. There are four different potential areas based on your chapter’s preferences where you can post:

• Discussion Forum – communicate and collaborate on a variety of topics of interest 
• Blog – review and publish news and insights
• Knowledge Base – store and share valuable information or data
• Idea Exchange – post and comment on various ideas and suggestions

I’m able to host in person events at my workspace in central Manchester, should that be of use.

The chapter which existed before covid didn't just meet in Manchester, it have a meeting in Liverpool as well.

ISC2 chapter leaders summit starts today. Registration link below. Looking at agenda, there are relevant sessions on starting and running a new chapter. I would be interested if we can get NW one up and running.

You would have to sign up, but if we can get an idea of numbers that will help with getting the chapter off the ground.

I've added in quite a few people now. My only criteria really for allowing people is they are doing something in cyber security (preferably not sales, but hey) and based in the north west.

Moderation is on for people who have joined within the last 30 days or who post external links. Please feel free to invite others. I have put up a welcome post as well basically saying come join the conversation. 

Assuming the chapter starts up, more than happy to hand over admin of the group. If the group grows large enough, I may need additional help running it anyway, regardless of what happens.

Likewise, I’d be happy to help and share the load. There is an event space in central Manchester with Cyber Security start ups that would be happy to host meetings for the chapter monthly.
