Good morning,
I reached out to (ISC)² Member Services recently to request my address be removed from their mailing list. Their reply was surprising: "I apologize, but currently we do not have the option to opt out of US Post Office mailings."
I've submitted plenty of postal mail opt-out requests to non-profit organizations, for-profit companies, and others. So why can't (ISC)² do the same? Is there someone at (ISC)² who could shed some light on why my request can't be honored? Are their people in the same boat as me?
Thanks much!
We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working on updating our systems and processes to allow for your request for removal in the future.
Thank you @AndreaMoore! I really appreciate the response.
Do you have any idea how soon this option might be available?
I don't have an exact date yet.
At this time, I believe we have only physically mailed one item: a postcard to promote Security Congress this year (in addition to the new membership certificates when applicable/requested).
Thanks for your patience while this process is updated.
