Exams not available in Korea?

Hi,

I'm interested in taking a CISSP exam. But we can't take the exam in Korea anymore.

According to this page, no language except for Chinese is available for any ISC2 exam in Mainland China and Korea.

https://www.isc2.org/exams/exam-language-availability

I don't know the reasoning behind the decision at all, but I guess there might be some relationship between the language Chinese and the location Mainland China. But what's wrong with Korea?

In Korea, we used to be able to take the CISSP exam in Korean, but I understand and accept that now Korean is not available for CISSP CAT, and I'm willing to take the exam in English. But even English exam is not available in Korea. Why???

Can anyone provide any explanation why ISC2 took two different countries into one category and applied the same restriction?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Guessing they are losing money to keep the exam available in Korea because it's not that popular. FYI, I'm also Korean. I might be flying to the US to take an exam.

Thanks for your opinion. I'm not sure if it's really the case. Among all the countries around the world, they excluded only China and Korea. Anyway, I hope they find a way to resume the exam in Korea soon.

BTW, I'm considering taking an exam in Japan. It would be much easier than flying to the US.

Would you mind if I ask what date you are considering to take an exam? I think we can grab the same exam schedule if the date better fits me so I can go to Japan with you.
