CISSP Endorsement Wait

It has been over 6 weeks since my endorsement was submitted.

How long does it take usually to finish this process?

I'm also waiting for 6 weeks. 😞

My CCSP took right around 7-8 weeks. If you do not hear anything after 8 weeks, get up with member support.

(If you think this is bad, back in the day, we had to wait 1-2 months to get the pass/fail status of our test!  )

I received the approval email today and that it right at the 7 week mark. A number of people on CISSP's subreddit have been reporting about a 7 week wait as well. So hopefully you don't have too much longer!

Ah, yes, back in the day when you got the notification by snail mail. I remember,
back then, being told that, if you failed, the mail came addressed to Robert Slade;
but, if you passed, it came addressed to Robert Slade, CISSP. Well, mine came
addressed just to Robert Slade, and I felt sort of crushed, until I realized that the
package was *way* too big just to contain a rejection letter. So I open it up, and
it's my cert, framed. (Cheaply, but framed.)

Another myth destroyed.

When I was doing the seminars, and they had switched to email notification, my
candidates were telling me that notification was usually less then a week, and
sometimes as little as two days ...

I remember when my email from ISC2 came. I saw the notification pop-up and then debated if I should open it then (at 10:00 in the morning) or wait until I got off that day at 4:30. If it is bad news then that would mean I would have to sulk around the office being sad all day. If I had passed then I could be jubilant the rest of the day. I took about 5 minutes of hemming and hawing deciding if I should open it or wait. Finally I said "Who am I kidding? I want to know!"

So I opened up the email.

Slowly I scrolled down.....

Someone told me, "If you see a score, that's bad. They will tell you your score if you fail so you can see how close or how far you were. If you pass they don't tell you your score."

I was sweating and hoping not to see a score.

Finally I saw these words....

"Congratulations, "

I jumped up out of my chair with so much excitement that I kicked over a trash can under my desk and people came running to see if everything was alright, it was so loud.

When I took the CCSP last year I knew when I walked around to the test proctors desk and he handed me a single sheet of paper that I passed. Well I assumed I passed. I figured if I would have failed they would have told me the areas I needed to work on, and surely that would have been more than a page's worth. I flipped the paper over and read the Congratulations message.
