Hi,
Just some CPE points submitted automatically from HTB. However they seems to only have ended up on one of my certification. Any help here?
Thanks,
It always used to be the case that the API that third parties use to submit CPEs for you, could not apply the CPEs to individual certifications. It's either all or nothing, so this is a surprise.
Out of curiosity, what does your CPE transcript say for each certification?
Ultimately, you always have the option of manually submitting the CPEs if they definitely have not been applied as expected.
Edited to add:
Thinking about this, there are a couple of scenarios where this can happen:
As mentioned, your CPE transcript should be able to provide the answer.
This is an odd one, cause this has not been any issues in the past.
First this indication that something is wrong:
CISSP exam doesn't seem to be updated?
The transcript on CCSP looks like this:
CISSP
Not sure why CISSP credits are marked as roll over, cause it is not. It is credits from the same boot camp highlighted at the top of CCSP.
Also the date is wrong as you can see.
I haven't earned these recently, both dates back to 2022. However I have noticed the certification date on CISSP is dated into the future? This doesn't seem right
This is exactly what I mentioned in the second point in my edit.
You are in a rollover period for your CISSP because 1) you're in the final 6 months of your current CISSP 3-year cycle, and 2) you had more than 120 CPEs aligned with your CISSP already.
Also, you have offset CCSP and CISSP 3-year cycles with the CCSP cycle being 6 months ahead. You would have been asked to pay your AMF aligned to your CCSP cycle, so prior to July 2025.
At some point in the last 5 or 6 months, they effectively renewed your CISSP early (see your comments about dates being in the future) as you had met all the criteria in terms of AMFs and CPEs, but as you're still within the original CISSP cycle dates, you're still bound by the rollover period criteria until your new CISSP cycle starts on 1st Jan.
You can't rollover more than 40 CPEs for the CISSP, so as you already have 40 rolled over, any further CPEs you earn after that 40th one can't be counted towards your CISSP before 1st Jan.
As I mentioned, when CPEs are submitted automatically, the API can only submit the CPEs against all of your certifications. However, as your CISSP is in one of the two states I listed where it won't count any new submissions, they just weren't counted whereas the CCSP ones were.
You can read more about the rollover period in the CPE handbook, but this all looks correct to me and is expected.
I also have multiple certification cycles with offset dates that take effort to manage in an optimal fashion - here's a screenshot of a post I made on this very subject a few years ago:
