In the wake of the Facetime bug comes news of even more insidious breaches on your Apple devices.
iOS apps are able to scrape screenshots of, basically, everything you do, and then send that back to, well, whomever they choose.
Without asking.
Without letting you know.
This isn't even a bug. It seems to be part of the iOS system, and could have valid uses (although what they are escapes me at the moment).
The fact that Apple, with it's closed and locked down system, allows this sort of thing is rather disturbing ...

That depends upon who one believes responsible for phone security. Leaving it to the app-developers proved problematic as they often have agendas that do not align with the phone owner. Leaving it to the phone owners requires they receive objective advise. Hence the reason that the app store and the operating system developer tend to be left holding the bag.
