The US House and Senate are finally looking into a general federal data privacy framework.
Meeting with large tech companies.
(Who, primarily, don't want strong privacy laws like GDPR.)
In private.
Behind closed doors.
(In other words, they don't care what you think ...)
And you were expecting?
NIST is already working on a privacy framework:
https://www.nist.gov/privacy-framework
I get a bad URL when I click your embedded option but when I google "NIST privacy framework" it comes up with the same exact URL.
Just in case anyone else tries it and it barfs for them also.

Well, I got it. (And I'm an untrustworthy alien!)
To be fair, that link does seem to have a couple of weird non-printing characters appended to it. If you just paste the printable part in, it works.
Not sure what happened. I copied the URL from the browser and dropped it in. Not sure how it got messed up.
And I also tried to edit my post to remove the nonsense characters at the end, but nothing seemed to work.

Well:
https://www.nist.gov/privacy-framework
How's that?
Had to "edit link" in my original post. Guess I need to do that going forward to get rid of any trailing spaces.
