Salesforce

Salesforce, the darling of the SaaS crowd and concept, first allowed one company access (read and write, apparently) to absolutely all the data they held, and then had to shut access down completely to fix things.

 

As of Saturday, access had been restored to admins, but user level access might still need more work ...

Cloud is great when it's available, but when it's not or if there's some major blunder like this, you need to brace for impact and your at the mercy of the providers competence.
