Ransomware takes out another company.

The Heritage company  laid off 300 staff members just before Christmas due to the inability to recover from ransomware.  Sadly, the employees have not yet returned and are being encouraged to "search for other employment".  Given the nature of the business, it should not be too difficult to find a better job.

It best be an off-line backup.  Some ransomware goes after backups...

And don't forget to test if the backup can be restored! It is worth the time and effort.
