Pizza restaurant owner makes money off DoorDash--but not that way

I'm not big on the "gig economy."  I don't really need those services, and I feel the companies are encouraging a "race to the bottom" in terms of services.

So I really like this story.

The owner of a pizza place started to get complaints about deliveries--even though his restaurant doesn't deliver.  It seems that DoorDash had listed his place--without telling him.  They even undercut his prices.  So, he ordered some pizzas--from himself, via DoorDash.  He filled the order via DoorDash, having it delivered to a friend's house.  He paid the discounted price.  DoorDash paid him the full price.  So, he was making money ordering his own pizzas via DoorDash.

I can't even see that he's breaking the law ...

So for this one, I would suggest a form of Idenity Theft has taken place.

The restaurant has not given permission to DoorDash to list them but they are listed, folks can order items and the owner of the restaurant receives the order......I suspect from DoorDash, creates the order and provides it to whomever shows up and says "Hey I'm Joe here for my pizzas", gets paid full price .........

It is an interesting business model on the part of DoorDash (stupid as it is) but they are illeglly using the Identity of the restaurant.
