Industrial Control systems and the Increase in attacks

When I first started working in heavy manufacturing, we did not worry about hackers attacking our systems as most of them were air gapped from the main systems.  However, this changed quickly (actually almost too rapidly) and now we are seeing these systems/processes becoming the main target of the hackers.
