The Senate wants to know how much the big three, Google, Amazon and Facebook make off of your data. Why? As I've said before, Capital Hill cannot make money on it's own, unless it fires up the mint's printing presses. So the only way it is going to get more money, and yes, they want ALL the money, is to find new sources of revenue that they can tax. This time they are doing it under the guise of protecting you.
They are so dishonest.
They want these reports every 90 days. If you have ever owned your own business you would know that your tax payments are due quarterly.

Big Tech oversight and how their services leverage declared user data and make inferences upon it is long overdue! Distribute the wealth to the poor! Fix education! Feed the starving people in the world! If they did that I would welcome seeing new business taxes on data!
