Google remember when having all of your memories stored by a giant corporation wasn't creepy ...

Google's superbowl ad has generated some debate.

Is it about nostalgia?  Dementia?  What does Loretta feel about being part of it?

Had not watched any super bowl ads, until this one.......and now sorry I watched.

Somebody's idea of super marketing?

The ad worked, it invoked emotions in people.  They had a captive audience (unless you were lucky enough to be on a beer run for this one).......... we will convince them that storing everything on our site will help their aging parents or themselves and everyone will rush out and buy these devices.  We will replace photo albums, we will jog their memories.

Wonder if there was an increase in sales of Google Home devices?

@dcontesti @rslade   Captive audience, easily persuaded in the joy of the moment.  The implications are far wider, or is Google just pushing the moment and hoping everyone will freely and wildly come to the party.

Oh what joy - let them realise the implications many years down the road.

Another Google mind experiment gone bad... they are watching you and your reaction. You are a data point.

At what point, do we state this is invasive, no privacy, and ones life is one giant TV show for all to see and parade from birth to death?  A paradox and do we want it to carry on this way or do we want change?

Or are we all going to be sitting front of the floating screen and just become another part of the audience.

I think there have been some films in the Sci Fi arena depicting this very scenario in the past.
