OK, we've had discussions over whether quantum computers are going to end cryptography as we know it (spoiler alert - no).
Then there were reports that quantum computers might not be possible!
Then there was the reassurance that if we did build one, we could test it!
So, now Google seems to have done it!
Maybe.
The paper got posted. Then pulled. It only has one author. And, even if they did it, the processor only has 54 qubits, so there's a ways to go yet ...
