It amazes me that FB continues to take malicious, intentional action, and then, when caught, weakly apologize and claim it was "accidental;" or "unintentional."
Hogwash!
Even more frustrating is how FB has embedded itself into modern commerce. Last weekend I spoke with the owner of a small, local business about his use of FB. He keeps his personal usage at an absolute minimum, but said he has determined that his business's FB presence is responsible for $185,000 USD a year in business.
Many authors of books published through Amazon or other small online publishers have also told me that they cannot survive economically as authors without their FB presence.
This article portrays 'Facebook's Evolution of Privacy' --- probably one of many giving Zuckerberg a bit of a headache these days. Assuming it's too late for Facebook to make amends & recover from these blows, it is making efforts to try and cushion them.
I can't help wonder how the majority of Facebook users are reacting to this. If their profile pages are already adorned with non-sensitive PII & being shared with everyone, seeing this divulged may not be much of a concern to them...
