The Eurostar train service provided free wifi.
Until suddenly it didn't. Wifi was disabled in the standard seats, although it was still available in first class.
When asked why, Eurostar said that wifi was removed because of cCoVID-19. (No, it didn't make any sense to me, either.)
The wifi service has, apparently, since been restored.
Well if there was reduced ridership due to COVID-19 which triggered reduced revenue and they only offered it to the higher paying first class customers, I guess you could say it is due to COVID-19. It's a sketchy argument to blame it on the virus instead of just saying "We couldn't afford to keep providing the service for free." I mean I have been working from home for the past 4 months so my gas usage has gone down and I'm sure the gas stations miss my revenue.... I'm sure they are ready for this virus to be over too.
