This week, the European Council agreed to revised text that includes plans for a single vulnerability reporting platform and clarifies language for open-source software. These new regulations aim to avoid overlapping legislation from individual member states. Recent amendments have helped to better define the classes of products covered under the legislation. While the progress this week helps advance the legislation, the conversation is far from over and the text is likely to undergo even more changes.
