‘Discreet’ CIO Group Tackles Vexing IT, Business Challenges

There's an interesting story on WSJ today about a Bilderberg-type group of CIOs who meet regularly to discuss IT and cyber.

Would be interested to hear the thoughts from the ISC(2) community to see if they think this is useful or not.  There are several other groups out there that do something similar, though in a more informal manner...The Cyber Loop (TCL), Cybersecurity Forum Initiative (CSFI).

Here's the link to the WSJ article: https://blogs.wsj.com/cio/2017/11/30/discreet-cio-group-tackles-vexing-it-business-challenges/

Sincerely -- Riz

There are lots of informal sharing mechanisms out there; at the other end of the spectrum there's LinkedIn (which now tends to have a poor signal:noise ratio) and even this community/forum here. I think it's a good thing, overall.

It can be hard to find sources of high-quality specialist discussion which aren't trying to sell you something.
