Hi All
Given the hype and confabulation with ChatGPT-4, would you like your health records exposed to an AI, which may actually expose your privacy and make decisions?

My thoughts only:
I see benefits to having REDACTED medical information being shared. The more information that is shared, hopefully the medical profession may update/improve their procedures. The ability to send messages to patients may provide some benefit as the patient may receive information related to their conditions.
Having said that, it would not be advisable for the physician to input the users name. (I see this as being a two step process - the doctor pulls down the information required and inputs into the email).
I can see information related to age (not birthdate), condition (current and pre-existing), medicines being prescribed, treatment and even city be included.
HOWEVER, I do see the downside of this type of usage. If specific information is not Redacted, it could invade privacy. Items I believe should be redacted includes (Birthday, Name, Home address, Phone numbers, (Basically what I call Tombstone data), Medical insurance information, Social Security information (SIN in Canada), this is a partial list.
Another downside would include insurance providers accessing the data and either denying insurance or increasing premiums or dropping coverage for specific conditions.
I have always had concerns about the electronic transmission of medical information between medical practitioners and institutions but then I am old and sometimes grumpy.
My 2 cents
