CCP using LinkeDin to recruit spies ...

"We are looking for someone knowledgeable in high tech who is willing to betray their country and sell us their secrets."  OK, maybe not that blatant, but apparently the Chinese Communist Party is recruiting people to create fake accounts (and fake companies) to recruit people who know state and tech secrets .

and here I am worried about being targeted by "tech training companies" out of India offering "guaranteed certification" training... now I have to worry about being asked to pass secrets through LinkDin chat... what next?

Nothing new as its been going on for years. Its another platform resource for information gathering, phishing, etc. I wouldn't doubt its being used everybody in the business to include corporations. At least there is a capability to report users who are not following the terms of use.

If something in the profile or contact does not appear legit don't accept the invite and also look into reporting them. Also depending on your business/function consider not using any social platforms all together.
