Can I say that I want to hide ?  Thanks for the article.

@dcontesti Good try, but some how they will find us, no matter where we intend to hide, unless we cut off social media, e-mail, phones, TV and find an island to contemplate our next move.

It is just a set up, a challenge, a barrier to over come - having a growth mindset helps a great deal.

I know that it wouldn't make sense to hide but if I do it might distract them temporarily.  🙂

As I have stated before, I believe that we need to train our security folks to be hackers first and then we might have a chance of keeping up with them.

From the article, "Experts believe this will occur in the next five to 10 years, potentially leaving all digital information vulnerable to cyber-threat actors under current encryption protocols."

So, I need to pray that new protocols are developed within the next 5 to 10 years, or pray that I find a stash-of-cash so I can retire by then.

@denbesten   Personally, I think it will happen far quicker than 5 to 10 years.

Unfortunately, by the time, we even think about retirement, all of us will be using digital funds, so it will become a headline subject.   Where do you think it would be best to stash your hard earned funds - under the bed.....

Many nations cannot get digital identity working correctly as yet, and face many challenges including trust, repudiation, cultural issues - unless mandated by the state.

Would you trust an augmented intelligence, run by the bank?  We may have no choice at all.

When even a CBDC in Brazil had built in code, to ensure they could access the funds and redeploy them at will? CBDC - (central bank digital currency), acronym blasting at the same time.

Or a hardware crypto wallet?

My yardstick is the currency being backed with "the full faith and credit" of the country,

Unfortunately keeping money under the mattress results in a guaranteed loss matching the inflation rate, so no wins there.

Lottery-ticket retirement-plan it is.
