2020 US election

An interesting and fairly comprehensive article from "Scientific American" about the various possible forms of cyberattack against elections in general, and the US in particular.

For other resources on the risks and dangers of voting technology see the RISKS Forum Digest.

@rsladeSo here is an idea, to test the theory that electron rigging by malicious actors will be conducted.  Why not give out false information, stating the electron period will be between x and y.   Create dummy online electron voting as a sacrificial lamb and see how quickly it is compromised and manipulated and by whom.

It is not just the US electron, but many others around the world will be affected too.

@rsladeBut this is no different from the old network security approach of using a "Null router" or even Black Holing filters or setting up a dummy server, a bastion host, which looks like a corporate server with lots of juicy information.  Given the fact, no one can really tell what is real or actually truthful.

So why not test the theory and see how aware people actually are and perhaps save them a heap of embarrassment at the same time.
