ISSMP Exam Prep Questions

Out of the CKB book, I've prepared 100 questions that will help you refresh your knowledge before the exam. You can use it if you find it useful.

DISCLAIMER: These are not exam questions; they prompt you to understand the ISSMP exam topics.

@pkarner. The ISSMP exam objectives changed August 1. The CBK has not aligned with the exam objectives for a very long time. I did read the CBK for a historical perspective knowing that the material that I was reading was probably not testable. Make sure that you know the exam objectives (ISC2 calls it an exam outline). I mostly used the suggested NIST resources. I already had earned a CISSP and a CISM.

Thank you @pcarner

Where can we find the questions?

@nuclearfallout   No clue on what was offered above and would be cautious of it.  That being said am guessing that this is in response to the exam objectives changes for the former concentrations that ISC2 has released this as an option:  https://www.isc2.org/landing/issmp-study-questions-ebook.

@pcarner Congratulations. So the exam objectives change didn’t hurt you in studying. Very good. I am not sure how much they changed for that exam.

The new outline made this exam more difficult, when on the 1st attempt I have passed 3 out of 6 domains and 4th one was very close, the 2nd attempt after changing the content made this exam more difficult and there are new topics related to Security Management of SOC in organization. I am still searching to find the way how to best prepare for the last 3rd attempt, because the materials are not explaining in full details the concepts, which are needed to be covered from perspective of the exam. I think, will have to get focused on NIST documents to go through it, and probably some references, which I have managed to purchase. Anyway, the questions are on the high level and checking good understanding of concepts from the practical implementation and decision making point of view. The time definitely is not your enemy on this exam, 180 minutes is enough. The problem is to have some study group, where specific questions, which I have on top of my head can be clearly explained and answered according to ISC2 CBK.
