cybrary.it ISSEP Course - Thoughts?

Hey all -

I was thinking about dipping my toe into the waters on ISSEP.  Has anyone taken the cybrary.it ISSEP course?  Was it beneficial?  I don't suspect it is nearly enough to pass ISSEP.

Thanks!

Some of those associated standards from NIST can be extensive. I am very familiar with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CISA CPGs, NIST SP 800-53/A, and NIST 800-82. I have to dig into the recommended NIST standards for ISSEP. You will.need to take that into account.

We use the above standards for cybersecurity assessment for DOTs.

Andrew, did you take the ISSEP exam yet? If so, how was your experience? Any resources or study suggestion you can provide would be great.

Cheers!

I did not.  I instead did CEH (pretty easy) and am now working on C|TIA (Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst) because I'm helping my team stand up a CTI program.  I still want to do ISSEP someday but shifted focus towards other tasks.

I took CISSP-ISSEP exam a few days ago, did not pass, and then took Cybrary ISSEP course right after.

It will absolutely, 100%, NOT prepare you for the exam. At all.

The content is laughable and there is even an error on one of the slides that calls ISSAP an "audit" cert instead of "architect".

If you want to pass this exam you need to study actual NIST SPs and IATF docs. There is no way around it.
